Yokai Watch Puni Puni is a challenging puzzle game whose gameplays draw directly on titles like Disney Tsum Tsum and Crash Fever – titles to which it also adds a very interesting series of features that boost both the depth and the replayability.
The premise of Yokai Watch Puni Puni is very simple: you've got to defeat endless enemy hordes using your Yokai. To that end, you'll have to build a team with your most powerful creatures and create combinations that bring together three or more of these spectral beings to make them disappear. The power wielded by the creatures you combine determines how much damage you'll do to your opponent, whom you have to defeat before your moves tick down to zero.
One of the most interesting features in Yokai Watch Puni Puni is its excellent implementation of physics in the puzzles, which not only adds dynamism to the action but also gives more randomness to the encounters. That said, the download of the initial patch takes up a ton of time and space on your device memory.
As with the aforementioned Disney Tsum Tsum, your final mission in Yokai Watch Puni Puni is to collect every possible creature and level them all the way up.
